Racial Powers: If they are not seen or suspected by their targets, they can manipulate the person through their shadow. They can also cause physical harm to the person by traveling through said shadow and get a lock on to their location. Shades are self sustaining creatures and do not need to feed for once they sit in a shadow for extended periods of time they are like plants doing photosynthesis. As for sunlight, the amount of time that they spend in the dark reflects on how long the can walk in the sun before it starts to kill them. Few people survive to tell the tale once a Shade reveals its true form.

History: Being a Shade, Elijah was born from the death of another. For every action there is an opposite but equal reaction right? Shades age much slower than humans and other races so for every one hundred human years, Elijah physically ages one. It is due to this that he cannot form lasting relationships with humans. If he were to meet someone who was sixteen at his current age of 1600 years, he would appear sixteen to them. But once they get older, he cannot speak to them or be in close relations with them because his secrets would be exposed. There have been only a few humans in his lifetime that he has been able to trust, but they died long ago, only to have Shades born in their place. Shades take the appearance of the creature that died so his body is that of the sixteen year old male that overdosed on pain medication.

Due to his inability to be in the sun without the shade he is very pale looking. He seems a bit frail to the touch but he is a strong capable 'young' man. He tends to shy away from physical contact or emotional bonds for those have only lead to him living on whilst his friends died. So with every death of a friend, he becomes more reclusive.
